TBG ANNOUNCES SEVERAL PROMOTIONS, INCLUDING NEW PRINCIPALS IN THE HOUSTON AND SAN ANTONIO OFFICES

AUSTIN, December 12, 2007 – TBG, Texas’ largest landscape architecture and planning firm, has promoted several employees in its four offices. In Houston, Meade Mitchell, ASLA, RLA, has been promoted to principal. In San Antonio, Scott Weaver, ASLA, has been promoted to principal and Kerry Niester, RLA, ASLA, has been promoted to senior associate. In Dallas, Bryce Bartlett, ASLA, LEED AP, has been promoted to associate. In Austin, Mindy Cooper, ASLA, LEED AP, has been promoted to associate.

With more than 11 years of industry experience, Meade Mitchell has extensive experience in resort site development and master-planned mixed-use communities. As a principal in the Houston office, Mitchell oversees landscape design and planning for numerous projects including Little River Casino Resort in Manistee, Michigan; multiple Wind Creek casino resorts in Alabama; Mar Bella, a master-planned residential community near Galveston Bay in League City, Texas; and the new DCH Cancer Treatment Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Mitchell has been with TBG for four years and holds a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University.

An integral member of the firm for the past three years, Scott Weaver has 12 years of extensive experience developing plans and landscape designs for park and recreational facilities, and commercial and residential developments. As a principal in the San Antonio office, Weaver oversees landscape design and planning for multiple projects in the community including Alon, a KB Home residential development; Rackspace’s new headquarters, a commercial adaptive reuse of the Windsor Park Mall; Espada and Terramark, master-planned residential developments in Cibolo Canyons; the military retirement communities Air Force Village I & II; and Microsoft’s new WLO (Windows Live Operation) data center. Weaver holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Purdue University.

Kerry Niester’s responsibilities as a senior associate in San Antonio include the design and management of several projects such as Espada, an 1,850-acre master-planned residential community; Estonia, another residential development in San Antonio; and Copper Ridge, a riverfront residential development in New Braunfels, Texas. Niester graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture.

As a Dallas associate, Bryce Bartlett is responsible for design development, project coordination, construction documents and construction observation of various landscape architecture and planning projects, including Block 1500, Phase I of the Dallas Design District’s urban redevelopment; Wintergreen Town Center, a mixed-use lifestyle center in DeSoto, Texas; Museum Place, a one-million-square-foot mixed-use urban development in Fort Worth, Texas; and Barton Woods, a multi-phase master-planned residential community surrounding the 200-acre Carl Barton, Jr. City Park in Conroe, Texas. Bartlett has been with TBG for three years and is a 2003 graduate of Texas Tech University.

As an associate in the Austin office, Mindy Cooper is responsible for the design development, project coordination, construction documents and construction observation of various landscape architecture and planning projects. Current projects include the relocation, campus renovations and new construction projects for Concordia University Texas, located in Austin, and the new Seton Family of Hospitals’ Administrative Office building located at Austin’s Robert Mueller Municipal Airport Redevelopment. This 150,000-square-foot building is under construction across from Seton's Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas, another TBG project. Cooper has been employed with TBG for two years and holds a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Pennsylvania State University.
